Chip has been drawing cars since the age of 8. He started in the car business in 1985 by leasing new automobiles to people with Multilease of Ohio. A career in information technologies contracted to both Ford and General Motors kept the automotive bug alive, joining Auto Assets in 1996 as a service advisor. An interest in Club, Historic and Vintage racing quickly developed Auto Assets into a large operation of “arrive and drive” automobile racing events. In 2001 Chip and Steve Southard drove to an impressive 23rd overall in the Sebring 12 Hours. Chip still competes in a 2000 Porsche GT3R and Lola 97/90 Sports Racer. When not working Chip spends time with his wife Mindee and their daughter Lilly.
Mindee owns Garage Massage with a studio located on the second floor of Auto Assets. Mindee is interested in “fixing” people that are broken in some way or another. If your massage therapist is letting you down or you would like to take care of yourself while Auto Assets takes care of your automobile, consider booking time with Mindee. Traci – Business Manager
Traci has been with Auto Assets since 2017 and is the Auto Assets Business Manager. Traci handles many different roles at Auto Assets including Payroll, Titles, Accounting and Human Resources. Traci has worked with dealerships for many years and like the variety of tasks that Auto Assets offers. When not working Traci likes tending to chickens, riding her Harley Davidson and doting over her children and grandchildren.
Gary – Tech
Gary has been working on Porsche engines since 1976! Porsche factory trained, he estimates he’s rebuilt over 500 Porsche engines and transmissions over his career. In his free time, Gary enjoys farming, talking about the weather, and building model airplanes.
AJ – Tech
AJ has been in the car business in a variety of roles since 2001, starting in the parts department of a franchise store. AJ likes the variety of cars that we get to work on at Auto Assets. When you get to work on a Lotus one day and a Tesla the next; you have to be pretty sharp. AJ likes to spend time with his wife Angie and two sons when not working on his 1968 Pontiac GTO.
Hoop – Tech
Hoop has over 5 years of automotive technician experience and many different Audi & BMW factory certifications. He’s also experienced with complete Porsche engine overhauls and mods. He’s a talented fabricator that developed a Mezger coolant pipe test jig to confirm welds on coolant pipes were successful. In his free time, he’s a talented musician that loves puppies and once hiked the Appalachian trail (all 2180 miles of it).
Eduardo – Operations Manager
Eduardo started working at Auto Assets back in 2006 as a part time car washer. He began working on his own car with the shop’s equipment and quickly picked up the trade. After graduating from OSU, he was brought on full time. Now he’s the Operations Manager & Motorsports Lead at the shop. He’s also the Chief Instructor of Auto Interests, a performance track driving organization based out of Canton, Ohio. He’s Chief Instructor of #Gridlife, a performance driving organization with Time Attack, Wheel to Wheel Racing, and a Festival component and he’s a Founding Trustee of the HPDE Foundation, a charity that provides educational services and scholarships for the advancement of HPDE skills & safety in the world of motorsports. Eduardo is a 3-time Auto Interests Instructor Dedication Award w/Distinction, Auto Interests Supporter of the Year in 2017, the winner of the 2018 Todd Zavodney Award of Excellence, and Auto Interests Instructor of the Year for 2019. In his spare time, Eduardo enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends, riding motorcycles, traveling, and spending time at the track.
MJ – Detailer
MJ has been with Auto Assets since 2015. MJ is in charge of making sure our inventory is sparkling clean, detailed to the 9’s and ready for customer review. MJ specializes in Paint Correction and odor abatement. MJ has been in the automotive business in various roles since 1999. Prior to joining us at Auto Assets, MJ worked for The Racer’s Group as a general track support manning the “dead man valve: on the race team. When not working at Auto Assets, MJ is a goalie in an adult hockey league and enjoys spending time with his daughter.
Jason – Tech
Jason has been working on cars for over 25 years and has years of British car experience. He’s extremely well versed in Mezger 911 Turbo & GT3 drivetrains. He’s also extremely apt with race preps and also vintage & modern cars. In his free time, he enjoys restoring vintage motorcycles and spending time with his family and kids.
Mikhail – Tech
Mikhail holds many accolades including a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and an ASE Master Certification. Combined with 35 years of experience, he’s extremely knowledgeable on all things Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Toyota, & VW. He’s also very resourceful with many tools in his toolbox that he’s made for himself to get the job done right. In his free time, Mikhail is SCUBA certified and enjoys traveling, snowboarding, and white-water rafting.
Rob – Service Writers
Rob has been with Auto Assets since 2017 and is a Service Advisor. Rob is very enthusiastic about learning all that he can about high performance modifications and suspension upgrades. He has been interested in all things vehicle related from an early age and loves trading in and out of all kinds of motorized conveyances including this Stage II VW GTi and modifying his Honda Grom. When not working Rob likes to play Golf, both at Top Golf and Local courses as well as spending time with family, hiking and live music
Nathan – Sales People
Since childhood, Nathan has had a passion for cars. From a car detail business which began in junior high, to his present career, cars take center stage. After graduating from The Ohio State University with a finance degree in 2002, Nathan has been actively involved in the car business. He has been with Auto Assets since 2016, assuming a variety of roles. Nathan’s specialties include sales, auto financing, and the digital marketing, photography, and videoing of all the inventory, as well as print media design. In his spare time, he enjoys family time, especially with his son, as well as exercising, traveling, and enjoying a nice glass of bold red wine
Rich – Sales People
Rich has been in the car business for over 30 years. Rich is a full time Mortgage Broker working with Auto Assets on a part time basis. When not working two jobs he coaches youth basketball and spends time with his daughters.
Matt – Service Writers
Matt has been with Auto Assets since 2004. Matt is our technical genius when selecting aftermarket modifications and vendor selection. His attention to detail and sense of humor can be your best friend when getting help modifying your car for the most performance and the most value. Matt is an encyclopedia of knowledge on Mezger engines, chassis setup as well as wheel and tire fitments. When not at Auto Assets he enjoys spending time with family, good food and festivals.
John – Friendly old guy
John has been helping out at Auto Assets since 2015 helping to shuttle customers to and from the shop. He can be seen helping transport vehicles to dealerships for recalls and parts around the city. John in known as one of the FOG’s we employ at Auto Assets – also known as the Friendly Old Guy. When not helping us at Auto Assets, John volunteers at his church, loves dogs and always has treats in his pocket!
The staff at Auto Assets want you to know what we are doing in the current health crisis. Our policies and procedures concerning the spread of COVID19 are of concern to all ofus here at Auto Assets; the good news is we are still open for normal business hours, with some changes, some of which we need your help to implement!

We are washing our hands between interactions with all clients. Please be patient with us while we protect everyone involved.
All surfaces, phones, door handles, etc. have been sanitized and will continue to be sanitized on a daily basis.
Any staff member who is not feeling well is not permitted to come to work. We have a longstanding rule at Auto Assets – if you do not feel well – do not come in. Period. No employee who has contact with an ill person are currently working at the shop.
